Setting up Pokerbility™ to Autoread as you Play

1. Log on to the Texas Hold'em poker site where you are a registered user, open a poker room, and sit at a table as you normally would.

2. The tool will only work on Texas Hold'em poker sites that are supported by Pokerbility™. If your favorite poker site is not compatible with the Pokerbility™ tool, email us at customerservice@pokerbility.com. We will be adding new Texas Hold'em poker sites as often as possible, and are committed responding to all customer queries.

3. Once you are seated at a poker table, drag the Pokerbility™ tool icon over the poker room window and click the button.

4. After Pokerbility™ attaches to your poker room; it will now start reading the Texas Hold'em hands dealt within this poker room.

5. The Pokerbility™ tool will do the following once it has attached:
  1. Your cards will appear in this section
  2. The community cards will appear in this section.
  3. This window contains three sections
    • Me - Under this header are the calculated odds that you will hit a particular hand by the time the River Card is dealt.
    • River - Under this header is a list of hands. Your calculated odds of hitting one of the hands listed here can be found under the Me header.
    • Other - Under this header are the cards that your hand may be matched against.
  4. This menu provides the following information about the current game.
    • Rank - This is your hand ranking. Hand rank is a number, from 0 to 100, denoting the quality of a given Texas Hold'em hand (100% being the best). In the example the hand rank is 96.026%. This means that the hand you are holding should win about 96% of the time
    • Outs - This is the number of cards left in the deck that can improve your hand.
    • Under the Rank and Outs calculations is a suggestion about what sort of play you should make based on the cards in your hand, as well as the community cards.
6. Important Note: if Pokerbility™ tool covers the Texas Hold'em Poker room window, then Pokerbility™ cannot read the cards dealt within the poker room. When this happens the yellow information pane will display the message Can't watch: Window is concealed. If this happens, simply drag the Pokerbility™ tool until it does not cover the window. It is recommended that you use an 800x600 resolution or higher in order to fit both windows on the screen nicely.

Hand Rank

Hand rank is a number, from 0 to 100. This is a rating of the quality of a given Texas Hold'em hand (100% being the best).

Before the flop, Hold'em hands are ranked according to a hands historic performance combined with the given number of opponents. This means that a hand that is strong against a single opponent may do poorly, statistically, against 5 or 8 opponents. As always, a pair of aces is the best hand before the flop, but 9-4 off-suit (not the same suit) is not always the worst hand (statistically speaking, 3-2 off-suit loses more often in a heads-up game).

After the flop, hand ranking is more direct and the cards are ranked only by their strength in combination with the cards on the table. For example, if your Texas Hold'em hand rank is 50% after the flop, this means that half of all possible hands out there would beat you at that point.

When Pokerbility™ recommends betting advice, it takes into account all the known factors, such as hand rank, the chances of improving your hand by drawing certain cards (known as outs), the number of people you are playing against, what cards these opponents might be holding, and your position at the table.

What Pokerbility does not show

Pokerbility™ provides direction based only on the data available. The tool cannot factor is the human equation, such as bluffing, and the users particular read on the players at the table.

Menu

At the very top of the Pokerbility™ tool, users will find the word Menu . Clicking on Menu opens up a menu window that will offer users a range of options. The menu window display is shown in the graphic below.

There are a total of 12 options available in the menu. These options perform the following functions:

1. Configurations - Pokerbility™ was created with the knowledge that not everyone plays the game the same way. Therefore the game can be set to give different advice based on your preferred playing style. This is achieved by clicking on the Configuration listing from the Menu.

Are you an aggressive or are you a cautious player? To change the advice you receive from Pokerbility™, based on how you personally play the game, adjust the game from the following tabs:
  1. Pre-Flop - This allows the user to adjust the tool to make suggestions based on a player's personal style before the flop and their position at the table.
  2. Post-Flop - This allows the user to adjust the tool to make suggestions based on a player's personal style after the flop. From here they can also regulate the speed in which Pokerbility™ will make its calculations.

The Pre-Flop tab allows users to adjust how Pokerbility™ will play after the hole cards are dealt, but before the flop happens. This is controlled by five slide bars. When the bar is set all the way to the right on any of the options, Pokerbility™ is set to play as loose as possible. As the bar is slid from right to left, a percentage will appear at the far left side. This percentage measures how loose Pokerbility™ will play before the flop and give advice based on this setting.

A. Tight/Loose - How loose or tight Pokerbility™ will play before the flop.

B. Early Position Play - How loose or tight Pokerbility™ will play from an early position.

C. Middle Position Play - How loose or tight Pokerbility™ will play from a middle position.

D. Late Position Play - How loose or tight Pokerbility™ will play from a late position.

E. Big Blind Position Play - How loose or tight Pokerbility™ will play from the big blind position.

The Post-Flop tab will include a slide bar that allows the user to set the how tight or loose the Pokerbility™ tool will play. When the bar is set all the way to the right, Pokerbility™ is set to play as loose as possible. As the bar is slid from right to left, a percentage will appear at the far left side. This percentage measures how loose Pokerbility™ will play after the flop and give advice based on this setting.

Beneath the Tight/Loose slide bar is a box marked Calculations. From this area the user can set how fast Pokerbility™ will calculate a hand and make play suggestions. Depending on the speed of your computer, choose the appropriate option.
  1. Fast - Click this radio button for fast calculations. Using this setting, players will sacrifice accuracy for speed. The calculations are less accurate on the Fast setting.
  2. Medium - The calculations, though slower than Fast, are still made very quickly, but they are more accurate than the Fast setting.
  3. Slow - We recommend that you start at Slower. On this setting you sacrifice the speed that in which the calculations are made in favor of accuracy. If this proves to be to slow, move up to Medium or Fast. These calculations will not be as accurate.

Once changes have been made using the Configure function, the user may turn their attention to the bottom of the Pokerbility™ tool. There they will find three options:
  1. OK - Clicking the OK button will accept the changes made by the user.
  2. Cancel - Clicking the Cancel button will ignore the changes and Pokerbility™ will retain the settings that it had before the user attempted to make changes.
  3. Restore Defaults - Clicking the words Restore Defaults will reset the Pokerbility™ tool to the Pre and Post-Flop default settings that are programmed into it.

2. Enter License - At the end of your Pokerbility™ trial (or anytime during) users upgrade from just the temporary demonstration version of the tool and own a copy of the Pokerbility™ tool. Clicking on the Enter License menu item will open a new window. From here users may get a full version of the Pokerbility™ tool.
  1. User Name - The user may enter their name into this field.
  2. License Number - The user will enter the license number into these fields.
  3. OK - After the User Name and License Number have been inputted, click on OK to validate the information.
  4. Cancel - Clicking Cancel will allow the user to abort the process.

  2. Reset - After an offline hand has been played, click Reset to clear the information from the Pokerbility™ tool and ready it for the next hand.

2. How Pokerbility™ works changes when the player is utilizing it offline. Seeing as there is no online game to attach itself to, the player will need to input the information themselves in order to do calculations.

5. The graphics, and actions available, from this section of Pokerbility™ are as follows:
  1. This graphic represents you while you are playing the game. You may place this graphic at the position at the Pokerbility™ table that best represents where you are actually sitting in your game.

  2. This graphic represents that spot on the table where an opponent sits. You may close this graphic to indicate when an opponent has folded, or when the game has less than ten players. Click on the graphic to open on options menu. There are two options available from this menu:
    • Select Seat - Clicking on Select Seat will move the graphic that represents you to the place at the table that you opened the options menu from.
    • Fold Player - Click the Fold Player menu item to deactivate that player. Players are folded on the virtual table when the player in the real game folds, or when that spot at the table is not occupied by a player. When a player is folded the icon changes from this to this .

  3. When an icon has a copper colored circle attached to it , this represents the player who has the dealer button.

  4. This window will change color to reflect the advice that Pokerbility™ is giving. Some examples are as follows:
    • Green - Fold
    • Blue - Check or Call a Small Bet
    • Red - Raise or Re-Raise

  5. Once all the information has been entered by the user, click Calculate to display the odds and the Pokerbility™ tools suggestions for how to play the hand.

Note: This program is a poker odds calculator. It is meant to give you the odds on the current situation based on the data at hand. Poker is a game of nuance that goes beyond numerical calculations and odds. In other words, this tool is simply a guide.

It cannot account for the human factor that is integral to the game itself. It will not tell you when to bluff, or when someone else is bluffing. If you simply play by the advice of the tool, your play will become predictable and your opponents will pick up on that. Be sure to use the advice given by the odds calculator as guidelines to your actions, but not as static, unbreakable rules that will dictate your play.
